Put simply, Cody Davis was born out of the ever-thriving Minneapolis skate scene and an undeniable talent in skateboarding until a "prank" that professional skater Dane Burman pulled, that, Thrasher Magazine and Jamie Thomas subsequently piled in on, derailed his career and personal life, leading to significant humiliation, trauma and eventually an overdose.
"Wow I’m so thankful this is coming to light," said Cody, after I initially contacted him. "That shit caused me a lot of mental trauma that I still deal with to this day."
Now, 13 years after the "prank" Cody is finally telling his story.

Thanks for sharing, I’ve been sexually assaulted so many f*cking times and hanging out in the street with a skateboard doesn’t make it any easier to get respect from anybody when I say NO.
