Part of why I love skateboarding so much is simply because of how effortlessly funny people are... constantly. In this case, Koston observes a Malto slam, with special guest appearances by Alex Olson and Mike Carroll!
Today I had the privilege of attending Koston's charity golf tournament, hosted by Active. Even more of a privilege was being alongside John Cardiel all day and witnessing some of his unparalleled, infectious energy. More photos to come, just had to get this one up 'cuz today was a great day... especially since my boys at The Skateboard Mag crushed everyone today and won the tournament!
Flick: Toy Machine’s Lurk Fest

So I guess Nick Trapasso is the hot shit these days. He can make even the biggest tour video haters actually like a tour video because he’s in it. And we all know tour videos are total throwaway footage, right? That’s why they are free! No, it’s true. I read it on the message boards.
This new Toy Machine tour video, Lurk Fest, is hereby proclaimed officially cool and acceptable in the skateboarding industry. Ed, Turtle Boy and crew can totally rest easy tonight, knowing they got the stamp of approval from some of the most intelligent, all-knowing finger-on-the-pulse and important aliased people in skateboarding.
If you don't mind waiting for a 200 meg 10 minute clip to load and some sporadic sketchy audio, and watching a nervous and flu-ridden version of me trying to be funny, then here ya go. The Tim O'Connor Adidas Roast. These are jokes. You know... fun? Somehow I didn't catch a beating. Hugs 'n handshakes 'n other peaceful bro gestures were exchanged with all when all was said and done... phew. I even saw Reese in the men's room at the TWS awards recently and we totally bonded!
Sometimes I get really bored and walk to the beach to watch the Alpha Males fester. Their behavior and rituals bewilder me to no end. I'm literally thrown into a whirlwind of confusion and ponderousness, mainly because I'll never be able to comprehend why Alpha Males engage in the behavior in which they do. Or maybe it's just so goddamn hilarious I can't figure out how anyone could possibly lack such self-awareness. Chalk it up to genetics, I suppose.
