Kanye is famous.
So a friend of mine hooked me up with an invite to TV Guide's illustrious Emmy after party and I figured "Why the hell not?" I didn't feel like lugging my paparazzi gear around, so all you get is crappy pocket cam pix. Go to Perez Hilton or one of those yenta sites for better photos enhanced with Photoshopped cum and hilarious one-word punchlines written all over them.
I'd love to have a bunch of snarky clever shit to talk about celebs who were there... like all the other hot sites do. Jamie Foxx and Debra Messing and Teri Hatcher and whatnot, but it was a surprisingly normal event that felt like a huge upscale wedding with a free Kanye West and John Legend concert thrown in the mix. Plus, I don't watch enough TV to even know who I was looking at. I'm sure the place was flooded with "important people."
I did see LonelyGirl15 though, and she was hyped on Kanye.
One thing's for sure, while walking around a party like this, everyone looks at you. Right in the eyes, really quickly. Sizing you up. And you can tell for one brief moment they are thinking:
"Wait, is he someone? Is he a famous celeb? Where's he from?"
Then they realize you aren't any of that and that you don't mean shit to them and they briskly break eye contact and continue their quest to find the Hollywood stars they so eagerly came to see.

Jason Dill barged Manny Mania in NY on a banana board zip zinger zagger deal and some white leather K-Mart moccasin-type deals on and busted this hot move. It was rad. Even radder than his new etnies pro model, which is really fuckin' rad. I suggest skating a pair. I'm hyped on the way they ride, and I don't say that often.
Jason also had some commentary on my site, which I was pretty stoked on...
Christ almighty, I just looked at your website (mainly the TWS award pics). Now I don't feel so bad about when I hid from skateboarding for a year...
