It comes as no suprise that enjoi is the only company who have the balls to point out the joke that is ryan sheckler, nothing agaisnt the kid but its obvious hes got a touch of self-absorbtion,wants alot of attention and is basically just another of those superficial/materialist rich californian kid. those arent reasons good enough to hate someone u dont know though cause like i said there r 1000s of kids like that in the US, but is this the kind of personallity we want to see at the forefront of pro-skateboarding? obviously no,leave that fuking shit to teen idol magazines(garbage). skateboarding is more than just being able to do tricks, its about personality, mentalitiy, ways of life that differ from "normal people", so even if he can do huge kickflips does that mean his place is in a skateboard magazine? if we care so much and take pride about skateboarding's culture and artistic(DIY) style like the magazines claim,then y r we so loosely letting kooks in just based on performance(rather than un-formulated originality)? i guess hammers and hot trick of the month sales better than interesting ideologies,true style/true love. as far as a culture and community skateboarding is completly dead...but the skateboard never dies so u can always ressurect it for urself and only share it with people u trust so it doesnt end up getting filled with people who r in it for shallow reasons and ends up as a big gimmick once again.
