Spent Monday at the etnies park for a special "industry" day of padless skating. Ronnie decided he wanted to be filmer for the day, swiped my camera and this video of me, Lauren Perkins and Chris Gregson is the result. Of course he threw down a few buttery first tries of his own before the day was done. Here's a few photos as well.

In the quest for ultimate skate narcissism, I am doing a shoe and will conquer the footwear industry! The first writer with a co-branded shoe! (I think, correct me if I'm wrong.)
No, but really, I just bitched a lot (like always) that I couldn't find a shoe at etnies that worked as a skater and a chiller. That, and the fact that no shoes were done in my preferred greyish-blue colorway. Looks great with jeans! So, people got sick of my whining and me and Dennys...

Yes, this is sooo old news, but I held this footy back so Emerica could use it exclusively for their newsletter last month. I'm a total blog martyr, aren't I?
Basically, Collin Provost ripped and won Phoenix Am '07. Well deserved, my friend. Collin also busted my balls pretty hard a few weeks ago at the etnies park when I explained how I've been trying frontside flips for about 10 years now (as I attempted yet another and missed it). His reply:

NYC Emerica & Harley Party

Since Heath is somewhat elusive, I tried not to get in his face with the camera. The result: shit photos.
So yeah, I was out in NJ and NY all last week. Turned out there was an Emerica party to celebrate the launch of some new Harleys or something at the etnies showroom in SoHo. Cool, man. So I totally went and hung out because skateboarding and events related to it are fun.
If this were a press release, right now would be the time that I'd say some horseshit like:
"A great time was had by all! The line was around the block all night! There was free beer! Hipsters and influencers and industry headz showed up! Unless you have half a brain or are living under a rock for the last two years, you know that Harley and Emerica are totally down with one another these days!"
But this isn't a press release, it's a blog. Or so they tell me. So instead I have to say snarky shit like what I just said, with clever little captions that offer a satirical commentary on the current state of the skateboard industry and whatnot.
