Josh sets up. Those lights are bright and had me sweating.
Friedberg stopped by Sole Tech last week to interview me for the Know Skateboarding documentary deal. Popped my on-camera interview cherry too. Then we walked around, loaded him up with product, took photos of shit all over the three different buildings, harrassed everyone who was trying to work and he was on his way. Fun!
Was up in LA the other night for the etnies/Stereo Jet Set shoe release party. Jason Lee and Chris Pastras were there. Obvious, huh? Well, I'm just typing their names to piggyback on My Name is Earl-related search engine hits, okay? Fishbone was there and played Sublime covers. There were a lot of drunk people.
Still hate Sublime. Still hate LA. Still love skateboarding and any event related to it.
I recently donated a vintage and lovely House of Kasai pro model Lester Kasai deck from my collection to the eRay Ray Underhill fundraiser. Forgot to take a photo of it, but check out all the other stuff up for auction and get bidding when it goes live to help a fellow soldier out. More info to come when I have it.
These guys made me their "site of the week" last week! Wow! I'd like to thank the Academy, mom and dad, and most of all our lord and savior, Jesus Christ...
David Loy is a wiseass. I can say that because I'm constantly one of his victims. Still backin' him though. And Jon Goemann is a stylish and great kid who loves Morrissey and poker. One of the better interviews I've done. Here's footage of the two of 'em from Phoenix.
Love these dudes! Working on an interview with Kevin Taylor for The Skateboard Mag right now, and Zered Bassett was one of my first interviews ever. To this day he's still one of my favorites to watch. Raw, pure street skateboarding.
Here's the unedited Kat Von D interview from the Missbehave story I did with her.
Is tattooing still a man's world? How does it feel being a woman getting in on the action?
I think tattooing is definitely still a man's world. I mean, I think the majority of jobs are. Being a woman in this business has sometimes gotten in the way, yes, but I have always tried my hardest to not make gender an issue. It makes me happy when people have opinions based on my work and not my gender. Hell, I love boobs as much as the next guy, but that's not what I'm all about.
