Not bad considering I haven't entered a contest in over 10 years. Despite the fact that I couldn't really put a line together, slammed in my first run and rolled my ankle, this was seriously such a blast. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

So I get to Tampa yesterday for the pro contest, check into the hotel, run a few blocks to the food court in Ybor City to meet some peeps and see this woman on the ground wailing and moaning, holding her ankle...and a random spilled milkshake and flip flop on the ground next to her. Both were obviously innocent victims of her mishap. A mishap we didn't see but can only conclude that she probably tripped trying to walk up or down a curb.
Seems milkshakes and video are a theme for me lately....

I got this garbage can in 1988, around the same time I started skating. For about four or five years, I put every free sticker I got on it. I still have it in my studio now, 19 years later, as my primary garbage can. Every time I look at it is a trip down memory lane, especially all the old World, Blind and New Deal stickers. I'm sure you'll see something you like on there too...

Obligatory porn reference
As you can see, I've finally gotten around to sorting out all this stuff I have from a trip to SF a few weeks ago. One thing about SF that kinda strikes me is how artsy and creative and inspired I always feel once I get there. I somehow always get sucked into the vortex of art faggyness and end up taking photos and trying to write some Kerouac-type shit shortly after. Am I the only one this happens to?

This is poetry
While in SF a few weeks ago, I miraculously stumbled upon a free tea tasting place in Chinatown and was heartily stoked. Some of you who know me know of my affinity for tea, so this was just heavenly. If you're ever in the area, stop by and check out Vital T Leaf on 1044 Grant Avenue in SF. They let you taste all the tea you want for free and will school you on everything and anything tea-related. If you see or drink anything you like, it's all right there for you to buy.
I would link you to their site, but it seems inoperable at the moment.

I'm noticing a few skate mag websites suddenly posting "unedited" interviews and articles of stuff that ran in their mags...
What's that famous saying about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery?

The manual interview series continues! Here's an interview with Biebel!
I was just on the phone with Karl Watson and he told me to tell you that he was stoked on the new girl Euro tour video.
Oh cool!
I told him, cause he mentioned you in the manual interview.
Oh he did?

I recently found some amusing Google searches that brought hits to my site and decided it might be fun to post them. Please note I didn't correct the searchers' spelling errors, and I included the link their search terms lead them to.
I wanted to do this a while ago, forgot, then was totally reminded when Miss Cintra's boy Jan busted it out a few weeks ago. Anyway, here you go. Expect more in the future.

Carrying my video camera around at all times has been pretty productive lately. First, underage aspiring models in arctic waters. Then, today I filmed this scuffle between some bums. As you can see, bum #1 is harrassing bum #2 and his bum girl. Bum #2 keeps his cool until bum #1 attacks bum girl.
Then bum #2 strikes! And proceeds to beat the piss out of bum #1, while bum #3 tries to make me stop filming. At the very end when bum #3 gets off the bench, that's when...

After a sweet lunch that included rock candy, talk of quantum physics and lunar conspiracy theories, we (myself, Dominik Diedrich and Conhuir Lynn) ended up at the skatepark today. Here's a few tricks. This barrier is massive. Helmets suck.
