Longevity Claims...

I'm not gonna name names...but if your skateboard company went out of business or "disappeared" at one point and then starts up again a few (or a lot of) years later, the years you were out of business don't count in your little press releases and marketing nonsense. We know you all wanna claim as many years as possible for credibility or for a reason to celebrate some sort of "milestone" or "anniversary" or some shit. Perhaps your company has always been around "in spirit." But if you're so legit, you wouldn't need to embellish your timeline to get respect in the first place, right?

Are you talking about element, shut,or plan B?

Shut, I assume. Element never went out of biz. Plan B doesn't make historical claims as hard as Shut does.

it's shut for sure. Rob is probably referring to their collaboration with Etnies, on occasion of the two companies having "remained skateboarder-owned and operated since 1986".

Word to Big Bird! It looks like someone, Shut, is trying to cash in... Skating is at one of it's many peaks again and is easy big money for companies that come correct.... So someone, Shut, is trying to look legit to the youngun's who haven't got a fucking clue as to who so and so, Shut, is by saying, "Ah word, you don't know us but back in the day we were on point." It may work with the younguns, although I doubt it, but it certainly isn't working with anyone who's head isn't up his own ass. Keep it real through thick and thin and don't jump on and off the wagon cause there is dough to be made and we might make you Bam rich. Otherwise you just may be confused for WalMart or somebosy else, Shut, or any other big douche depot that is trying to make a quick buck...
