"Stayin' True!" The "Family!"

I always found it kinda interesting that skateboard companies will generously toss the word "family" around and market a "family" vibe in their ads, websites, press releases, etc. in reference to their team/brand...and then kick people off. I didn't really think you could kick someone out of a "family," but okay, whatever.

And another good one is when a skateboarding company needs to remind you repeatedly about how "true" they have stayed to skateboarding or their "roots" over the years. I've always felt that the most "true" companies speak in actions and don't need to brainwash you with propaganda into remembering all the "great" stuff they are up to or have done. Rather, they show you. And trust me, we, the skateboarders of the world, know who stays true and who doesn't. Don't you worry.

The only true skateboarding company is the company that is out of bizness.
