Gino Iannucci is my favorite skateboarder. Has been since the very day I bought 101's Snuff from the skateshop and ran home to watch it.
Also, have noticed lots of kids doing proper hardflips nowadays and it dawned on me to take a moment to thank Bryan Herman and PJ Ladd for bringing back the proper hardflip. Thanks to them we don't have to see those harsh, Caine Gayle-style illusion flips anymore. But I guess that's just it...if you're gonna do a trick, do it...

During Slam City Jam '04 weekend, there was a certain evening where three different art shows were happening. I felt the need to rush around the city like a maniac to attend them all. A Stereo skateboards show at Anti Social, a Skin Phillips show at Vital skate shop and another more art-based show of local Vancouver talent, called Cheaper Than A One Night Stand, featuring my dear friend, Shannon Hemmett.

This etnies 20 Year Anniversary Timeline took months to complete. A royal pain in the ass if you ask me, but fun too. Garry Scott Davis worked on the orignal text version a few years ago, assembling a large portion the info and history. Fast forward to 2004 and I was handed the monumental task of picking up where he left off, editing it, re-arranging, working with a buttload of people here at etnies to get it approved by all relevant departments and so on.

This is Rune Glifberg's second etnies pro model shoe, the Forsvar. Its purpose is to raise awareness for Christiana, a one-of-a-kind society in Copenhagen, Denmark that is facing threats of government abolishment. If you haven't heard of Christiania yet, do a little reading. I'm excited about this one because its the first time I was given the opportunity to write a story for a shoebox. The Forsvar will be in stores soon, so check it out if you can.

A little known RobBrink.com factoid is that Heather Christensen brings more search engine hits to my site than anyone or anything. A lot of pervs out there in the world, and they all love the gingers. So here's a few random old photos of Heather and I from 2001, so that I can blatantly manipulate all those dudes out there who need a Heather fix.
