The people at Consolidated just sent me this little note to set the record straight in regards to the alleged Consolidated Dunk:
It's Definitely Not a Consolidated Shoe
Funny how certain people will take advantage of a situation. What started off as our artist doing a favor for his home town shop, has ended up being twisted and turned into something it wasn't. Some people at a large sporting goods company are trying really hard to ride the association between...

Ok, here's the deal. At a large event like the X Games, before they can even catch their breath from skating the contest, all the medal winners get shuffled into press room and sit at a table waiting for reporters to swarm in, acting all frantic and asking gay questions, as if they are interviewing Tiger Woods or Kobe Bryant after some huge tournament or game or something.
At Summer X Games 11, I was providing the skate coverage for EXPN.com. Most of the time I just put my recorder down on the table and let the other reporters do all the work. But sometimes the questions got lame, so I had to chime ask my own too. So here's a never-before-seen Chris Cole interview from after he won the bronze medal medal in Street. I pressed "record" in the middle of him answering a question from another reporter dude...

Andy Howell still rules
I went to the Way Out West art show in Los Angeles tonight. I'm hip as all hell now. There was a buttload of cool stuff from Stereo dudes Jason Lee, Chris Pastras, Clint Peterson, Craig Metzger, Andy Howell and a few other artists who actually have talent.

The following post (written by me) appeared on etnies.com on Friday, March 25, 2005. After a run of only a few hours, once the etnies Girl people and upper management caught wind of it, people got nervous, phones rang, emails were sent, and the post was deleted while I was out of the office.

Here's Chino with some people I don't know
After a few hours backstage at the first night of the Taste of Chaos tour in San Diego, all I came up with was two harsh photos of Chino from the Deftones. There were like 10 other bands at the show, I don't really know who they were, but they were all pretty pissed-off sounding and wearing black. One thing is for sure, I need a better digicam.

Me and Trent, November 2004.
I found the best quote I've read in a while on NIN.com today...
The Grammys make me hate music, and certainly everyone in the ass-licking music industry.

Some very old stickers...
I've been asked to write chapters on Ronnie Creager, the High 5 video and the STI Lab for the etnies 20th Anniversary book that will be out later this year. I'm honored and it has been rad working on it so far. I'll keep you posted.

Kyle at ASR with a broken foot.
Did this quick Kyle Leeper interview not too long ago for his etnies.com team page.
Southern California native Kyle Leeper has kept himself plenty busy skating and traveling with the etnies team for the last couple months. Tours, demos, shooting photos, filming—you name it. The simple fact is, Kyle is a skate machine. Anytime, anywhere, anyhow—he gets the job done.
